Délice du Jura: the closest thing to Reblochon AOP you can get in Australia
Creamy, aromatic and made for melting: Délice du Jura is the mountain cheese that turns a simple dinner into something worth lingering over.
Traditional raw-milk Reblochon AOP from Haute-Savoie cannot be imported into Australia, but Délice du Jura fills that gap beautifully. Made in the Jura region from pasteurised cow's milk, it shares the same washed-rind character, the same soft, oozy texture, and that nutty, gently funky aroma that makes alpine cheeses so irresistible.
Think of it as the cheese you'd find in a tiny Jura fromagerie, the kind where the cheesemonger knows every wheel by heart. As it matures, it becomes runnier and more expressive, developing delicate fruity notes and a lingering nutty finish.
How to Enjoy Délice du Jura?
On a cheese board
Pairs beautifully with crackers, dried fruits and a drizzle of honey.
In a Tartiflette (its true calling)
Layer with potatoes, smoked bacon and onions, then bake until molten and golden. Any recipe calling for Reblochon AOP, Délice du Jura is your answer.
Serving temperature
Remove from the fridge 30 minutes before serving so the flavours can open fully.
Wine pairing
A red Burgundy, a light Pinot Noir or a glass of Champagne works perfectly.

Just a bit disappointed, i expected a bit more character taste wise.

If you prefer a stronger character, you can let it age a little in your fridge and it will develop more depth. I am french and I'm used to eat melted reblochon in stove meal like "crosiflette". This cheese I ordered here is tasteless and is nothing like a reblochon, sorry to say that. Maybe you need to change the manufacturing process. Thank you for trying anyway.
