How is Cornish Kern made?
Cornish Kern inspiration comes from Gouda but the Alpine's starter culture used in its production brings some reminiscence of Gruyere. It has a beautiful coat of black wax which protects it during the maturation process that last for a minimum of 12 months.
How to serve Cornish Kern?
Cornish Kern is very versatile and will bring colour and flavours to your cheese platter. It is also great in salad and melt very nicely. It goes very well with brioche bread. Pair Cornish Kern with a Bordeaux red or Sauvignon Blanc if you prefer white for your cheese.
