L'Artisan Le Rouge Organic, is a a bright orange washed-rind.
It slowly breaks down to a rich and gooey texture as it ages. Made in Australia from a traditional French recipe, Le Rouge matures for 3-4 weeks and develops an oozy straw-coloured as well as a beautiful unctuous texture.
With a quite sharp aroma and a subtle meaty flavour this cheese is perfect for those who prefer a strong aroma and equally strong flavour.
Compared to the famous French washed rind, Epoisses de Bourgogne, Le Rouge is milder in flavour and aroma with a slightly firmer texture.
