Delice du Jura is a pasteurised cow milk cheese with a similar shape as his close cousin Reblochon AOP.

If you don't know about it, Reblochon AOP (unavailable in Australia) is a semi-soft, washed-rind and smear-ripened mountain raw milk cheese that originated at the heart of the massif des Aravis, in the Thônes region of Haute-Savoie in France.

Delice du Jura, on the other hand, is a semi-soft, washed-rind and smear-ripened mountain pasteurised milk cheese that originated at the heart of the massif du Jura, in the nearby region of Jura in France. The Jura region is also home to other famous French cheese like Mont d’Or AOP, Comté AOP, Morbier AOP or Cancoillotte IGP.

It gets runnier as it ages, oozing with delicate fruity notes and a nutty aftertaste that’s very pleasing to most palate!

How do you eat Delice du Jura?

Serving suggestion: Delice du Jura pairs well with crackers and dried fruits.

However, it is best used baked with potatoes and smoked bacon in a traditional French recipe: La Tartiflette!
