What is Longaniza?

Longaniza is a fully cured Spanish sausage with a bold paprika and garlic flavour. Unlike our semi-cured chorizo, Longaniza is ready to eat straight from the pack, making it a perfect addition to any charcuterie board or Spanish-inspired spread.

How do you eat Longaniza?

Longaniza is fully cured and ready to eat without any cooking. Simply slice thinly and serve on a charcuterie board alongside cheese, olives, and crusty bread. Its intense paprika and garlic flavour pairs beautifully with Manchego, Idiazabal, or a sharp aged cheddar.

How do you cook with Longaniza?

While delicious on its own, Longaniza really shines when cooked. Try it sliced on top of homemade pizza, pan-fried and tossed through pasta, or added to a Spanish omelette for a smoky, savoury kick. It also works brilliantly in rice dishes and stews.

How is Longaniza different from Chorizo?

Both are Spanish cured sausages seasoned with paprika, but Longaniza tends to be longer and thinner than chorizo, with a more pronounced garlic flavour. It is also fully cured rather than semi-cured, meaning it is always ready to eat without cooking.
