If you love Comte AOP cheese you will love L'Etivaz AOP!
L'Etivaz AOP a Swiss cheese with character.
The traditional aroma of L'Etivaz is enhanced by a wood-fired production process. Traditionally made in Switzerland, L'Etivaz AOP is a semi-hard cheese made from raw, non-transported cow's milk in the mountain pastures between May 10th and October 10th. Its aromatic, fruity taste and its sensational rich texture make L'Etivaz a cheese you absolutely must have on your cheese platter!
Country of origin: Switzerland Region, town: Cod Cantan, Etivaz Source of milk: Unpasteurized Cow's Milk Texture: Smooth, creamy, semi-hard Flavour: Fruity, nutty (hazelnuts-), smokey, sweets notes Aging time: 6 to 13 months
Serving suggestion: Keep it simple and serve it on a cheeseboard with some crusty bread
Wine Pairing: Pair L'Etivaz with light, crisp red or chardonnay
Etivaz is a beautiful full flavor and fruity Swiss cheese.
In my opinion, Etivaz is better than French Comte or even a Swiss Gruyere.
I will buy it again.
Thank you Marcelle for taking the time to share your thoughts about L'ETIVAZ AOP.
Lovely tasty cheese
We had never come across l'Etivaz AOP before despite living in France for many years so it was a great surprise to find it at Deliss. It is absolutely delicious - as good if not better than an aged Comte. Highly recommend.
Merci Jo-Ann for taking the time to share your thoughts about l'Etivaz AOP cheese. I am also torn between l'Etivaz AOP and Comte AOP cheese on which one is the best! So, I eat both;-)
