Munster cheese is made from cow's milk, mainly in the Lorraine and Alsace region of France. With a slightly salty flavour, Munster cheese is a subtle cheese with a fairly strong smell.
Munster cheese is a versatile soft washed rind cheese that can be enjoyed as is or melted. Its name, Munster, comes from the small town of Munster in Alsace.
