Why Duck Foie Gras Mi-Cuit?
Creamy and flavoursome, experience what Foie Gras should really taste like. This is a semi-cooked (Mi-Cuit) Foie Gras from the South West of France. Because it is only semi-cooked, it retains far more flavour than a fully cooked Foie Gras in a glass jar.
How do you eat Foie Gras?
It is ready to eat and delicious on slightly toasted bread with a spoonful of Black Cherry and Thyme Jam or Onion Confit with Truffle.
You may also want to pan fry it like a master chef and top an eye fillet for a classic Tournedo Rossini. Use a very hot pan and sear for about 30 seconds each side, no longer or it will melt. Deglaze with red wine or aged port, add softened shallots and simmer gently for a sauce worth every second.
Leftovers? Slice, wrap tightly and freeze. Freezing this Foie Gras does not affect its flavour or texture.
How much Foie Gras per person?
Plan on 50g to 75g per person, and a little more for Christmas or New Year celebrations.
